RN applicants must first attend an undergraduate program approved by the Wyoming Board of Nursing, then earn a passing score on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

Applicants must also become certified as an APRN by the American Board of Nursing Specialties, Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (formerly the National League for Nursing), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the National Commission for Certifying Agencies of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence or any other nationally recognized certification agency approved by the Board.
