According to data published in May 2018 by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average salary for a Nurse Practitioner in New Mexico was $109,810. This is significantly higher than the average RN salary of $71,730.

According to a 2019 analysis by the New Mexico Health Care Workforce Committee, there has been a sustained increase in the number of NPs practicing in the state in recent years, with an increase of roughly 6% in licensed NPs since 2017.
