Nursing Licensure in Nevada

After attending an undergraduate program approved by the Nevada Board of Nursing, applicants must earn a passing score on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and then apply with the Nevada State Board of Nursing for licensure to practice in Nevada. Advanced Practice certifications have an application fee of $200.

Applicants must also become certified as an APRN by the American Board of Nursing Specialties, Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (formerly the National League for Nursing), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the National Commission for Certifying Agencies of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence or any other nationally recognized certification agency approved by the Board. Applicants may also apply for prescribing privileges.
